Inert Products was selected as a subcontractor on a Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) order to manufacture and deliver 240 red urethane M4 training replicas for use in military training environments. The requirement called for durable, highly visible, and dimensionally accurate replicas that could safely support a wide range of instructional scenarios without introducing the administrative burden associated with live firearms.

To meet this requirement, Inert Products produced 1:1 scale M4 replicas molded from high-strength urethane, designed to replicate the size, weight, and handling characteristics of a real carbine while remaining completely inert. The bright red coloration clearly identifies the replicas as training aids and prevents any confusion with operational weapons.

Because these units contain no functional firearm components, they provide several operational advantages. Training organizations can deploy them quickly in classrooms, simulation facilities, and force-on-force environments without the same armory controls typically required for live weapons. This allows instructors to focus on handling drills, room-clearing exercises, and scenario-based training while reducing logistical overhead.

The project demonstrated Inert Products’ ability to deliver safe, durable, and mission-appropriate training equipment that supports efficient training operations for defense organizations. The replicas are built to withstand repeated handling and demanding training conditions while maintaining the realistic dimensions required for effective instruction.
