The R-BOT is an unmanned ground vehicle (“UGV”). It can be used for a broad range of applications that require remote inspection and/or manipulation.
- Reconnaissance
- Scout areas for potential threats or hazards such as booby-traps, opposing personnel, ground sign awareness, etc. using the 4 onboard cameras
- Open doors with the gripper
- Built-in wireless capabilities for up to 400 meters (~1,300 feet)
- Manipulation:
- Lift objects up to 44 lbs.
- Drag objects over 100 lbs.
- The gripper has a 6″ span and has a 360 degree continuous rotation
The R-BOT was designed as an affordable but highly-capable alternative to UGVs that are simply too expensive for many groups, including law enforcement, humanitarian operations, and warfighters operating on a limited budget.
There are several package options available for the R-BOT, and we offer discounted rates to government agencies and humanitarian organizations.

The R-BOT is easy to set up in under 10 minutes, and is controlled by an off-the-shelf Xbox controller. The controller can be plugged directly into the R-BOT or via a laptop that displays the UGV’s 4 onboard cameras.
The R-BOT comes with an onboard networking switch that allows it to operate on the TCP/IP network wirelessly. An add-on option allows an alternate connection directly between the laptop and UGV via a networking cable.
We offer commercial network antennas with the R-BOT, but you can also use your own antenna such as those typically included with a mobile command station.
The R-BOT is ~35″ long, 25″ wide, and 24″ high at it’s “closed” position. It can reach up to 51″ high or up to 23″ beyond the front end.
It weighs ~143 lbs (two-man portable).
